Sonja Stosic won in straight sets at third doubles in her first match of the season

Jersey City, N.J. - Drexel women's tennis dominated St. Peter's in a 7-0 victory to improve to 4-2 on the season in dual matches. The Dragons bested the Peahens in straight sets in all five singles matches that were played including a pair of golden sets from Zineb Hilali at first singles and Sonja Stosic at third singles. The Peahens fall to 1-8 on the season after the loss.
Drexel swept doubles play as well with Stosic and Zineb Hilali teaming up for a 8-0 shutout of Kyrsten Chen and Andrea Estay. Elise Leizerovich and Gozde Unkaya took down Joneisa Williams and Linnea Enoh Jansson 8-3 at second singles to claim the team point.
At first singles, Hilali blanked Kyrsten Chen 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets to improve her record to 2-1 in dual matches this season. Stosic returned to the court for the first time this season after missing the fall schedule with a nagging injury. She showed no signs of rust while dismissing Linnea Enoh Jansson 6-0, 6-0 at third singles for her first win of the year.
Drexel will be back in action on Friday when the Dragons travel to the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in East Falls to play crosstown rival Temple.
