Williamsburg, Va. - Drexel senior Kyle Davis led the Dragons with a team-best 152 at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary. Davis shaved six strokes off of his first-round score to shoot a two-over par 73 in the final round, the best 18 hole score of the tournament for a Drexel golfer. As a team, Drexel finished 22nd while Missouri won the event.
Davis shot a 79 in the first round as he was the only Drexel golfer that broke 80 as the Dragons got off to a tough start. Ben Feld and Mike Serensits each fired 80's while Andrew Lawson and Frank Petrash carded an 83 and 84, respectively. As a team, Drexel shaved seven strokes off of its first-round total with Davis' six stroke improvement being matched by Feld as the freshman finished strong with a 74 in the final 18. Lawson also improved in the second round with an 80 though Serensits and Petrash struggled as each recorded 88's.
