Braunsburg and Davis Lead Dragons to Win at Swarthmore Invitational

Springfield, Pa. - In its final tune-up before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, the Drexel golf team triumphed at the Swarthmore Invitational as James Braunsberg and Kyle Davis shared medalist honors with each shooting a 74 in the one-round tournament. No Drexel golfer finished lower than tied for sixth place as the Dragons dominated the three-team, 28-player field. The Dragons totaled a 309 while Swarthmore took second with a 333 while La Salle finished third with a 337 on the par 70, Rolling Green Course.
Braunsberg and Davis tied Penn's Phillip Winter on top of the leaderboard as the Quakers sent four golfers to compete in the event as individuals. La Salle's Randy Kazinsky had a 76 while Drexel's Ben Feld rounded out the top five with a 77. Andrew Lawson and Frank Petrash each shot a 88 to tie P.J. Fielding of Penn for sixth place. Mike Serensits also earned a top 10 finish with a 79 to tie for ninth place. Drexel's Andy Frank shot an 88 to finish in a tie for 20th place.
