Golf to Wrap Season at CAA Championships

Hot Springs, Va. - Drexel will compete in the Colonial Athletic Associaiton Golf Championships beginning on Friday morning at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the winner earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. Head Coach Mike Dynda will be sending Kyle Davis, Ben Feld, James Braunsberg, Andrew Lawson and Mike Serensits to represent the Dragons in the 11-team tournament at the par 70, 6,679-yard Cascades Golf Course.
Senior Kyle Davis has been the team leader in stroke average throughout the season and brings a 74.4 mark to the conference championship. Feld has had a solid freshman season and is averaging 77.8 strokes per round with his best 18 coming in the second round of the ODU/Seascape Invitational where he shot a one-under 69. Braunsberg is another stand-out freshman who has improved as the season as progressed. He enters the CAA Championships after tying for medalist honors with Davis at the Swarthmore Invitational. Lawson has rebounded from a tough start to the spring to record two straight sub-80 rounds heading into the tournament while Serensits will be making only his second appearance of the season this weekend.
