Stosic and Mafa Win But Dragons Fall to Navy 5-2

Annapolis, Md. – Sonja Stosic and Zeynep Mafa won their second singles matches of the young spring season, but Drexel came up short in a 5-2 loss at Navy in the first of two duals on Saturday, Feb. 12. The Dragons also won at second doubles in their third dual match loss of the season.
Emma Brook and Elise Leizerovich teamed up to defeat Emani Dequire and Stefanie Ton 8-3 at second doubles. Unfortunately both of the Dragons' other two doubles pairings lost 8-3 to surrender the team point to open the match.
Stosic defeated Dequire 6-2, 6-4 at second singles and Mafa followed with another straight-setter at third singles, 6-4, 6-1 over Stefanie Ton.
The Dragons face DePaul at 1:00 in the nightcap of a Saturday doubleheader at Navy.
