
Women's Tennis Hosts Delaware State and Coppin State

Philadelphia - Drexel women's tennis (2-5) hosts a pair of home matches this weekend with Delaware State and Coppin State coming to the Drexel Armory. The Dragons are looking to snap a five-game skid this spring and pick up their first win 2011. The match against Delaware State will begin at 11:00 a.m. while the women will play the second half of a dual match with the men's team against Coppin State at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The Dragons return to the court after falling to Navy (5-2) and No. 35 DePaul (6-1) two weekends ago. Zeynep Mafa, Sonja Stosic and Alex Bell picked up singles wins for Drexel on the weekend.
Stosic, who has been playing second singles for the Dragons this fall, leads the team with a 9-2 record in singles play. The rookie Bell, picked up her first collegiate victory against DePaul playing at sixth singles, she will look to carry that momentum into this weekends' matches.
Delaware State posted a 4-0 mark in fall play this season with wins over. The Hornets knocked off St. Francis, Rider, La Salle and Saint Joseph's and are looking to continue that play this spring.
The Dragons lost to Delaware State 5-2 last fall. Gozde Unkaya won at first singles and the Dragons' doubles teams recorded the team's only points of the late-October loss.
Coppin State is playing in its first match of the spring season this weekend. The Eagles finished 2-8 last season with both wins coming against Maryland - Eastern Shore. Twin sisters Ana and Nina Sebescen led the Eagles last season with four and five wins, respectively, in dual match play.
