Men's Tennis Comes up Short Against Temple in Dual Competition

Philadelphia - Temple dropped the Dragons to 2-2 on the season in dual matches with a 6-1 win at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center. Nikoloz Kurdadze recorded the lone victory for the Dragons at first singles. The Dragons are back on the court Feb. 13 when they travel to play Navy.
Kurdadze played a tidy 6-4 first set against Andrey Morozov. The crafty Owl changed his strategy in the second set, opting to take some pace off the ball and forcing Kurdadze to play some longer points. The gamble paid off with a 7-6 win for Morozov in the second set. With the match already in hand for the Owls, the two played a superset for the third set. Kurdadze collected himself and assumed a more aggressive strategy which resulted in a 6-1 lead in the set and eventually a 10-5 victory.
