Dragons Host George Mason in Senior Day Dual Match Saturday

Philadelphia - Drexel tennis will welcome the George Mason Patriots to the Vidas Athletic Complex this Saturday for a dual match at 3:00 p.m. The contest will be the final home match in the careers of Manu Bajpai, Gozde Unkaya and Mehdi Rhazali. All three Dragons will be honored in a ceremony prior to the match.
Unkaya has anchored the top of Drexel's singles lineup this season. She led the team with a 16-2 mark as a sophomore while playing at second singles. Unkaya has posted 35 singles victories in her Drexel career, which is more than any other player over the last three years. Unkaya has been an important part of the team posting winning records in each of the last three seasons, including a 14-4 mark in 2008-09, which tied the program's all-time wins record. The Drexel women enter this Saturday's match with a 7-6 overall record and a 1-1 mark in CAA matches.
Bajpai and Rhazali have been important part of Drexel's lineup in each of the last three seasons. Bajpai has held down the second singles spot this season while Rhazali has been a versatile player that has held down a number of places in the doubles and singles lineup. Bajpai is 10-2 this season and a perfect 5-0 at second singles. Rhazali is 6-7 while playing at third and fourth singles this year. The Dragons are 6-3 entering the weekend and 1-0 in CAA matches.
The Patriot men are 9-7 overall on the season and are coming off a pair of dual match wins over Morgan State and La Salle. George Mason has won five of six coming into the weekend and the team has a 1-1 mark in CAA play with a win over Hofstra and a loss to VCU. Kevin McMillan (9-10) and Jorge Osuna (6-8) have split time at first singles for the Patriots with three match wins apiece in dual play. Chris Borden is 7-2 on the season and a perfect 4-0 when playing at fourth singles.
The Patriot women are 16-11 overall and 0-3 in CAA matches. George Mason is on a two-match losing streakcoming into the weekend with losses to Radford and James Madison. Alison Wingo leds the team with an 18-9 record in singles play and a 7-1 mark at first singles. Brooke Blackwell is 16-7 overall and 7-1 at third singles.
Both of Drexel's teams defeated George Mason in the first round of the CAA Tournament last season. The women won 4-2 after losing to the Patriots 4-1 in the regular season. The men defeated George Mason 5-2 in the regular season and 5-0 in the CAA Tournament.
