Crawford Shines in Final Day at Davidson Invitational

Davidson, N.C. - Drexel's Chris Crawford fired a one-under-par 71 in tough conditions to finish fifth overall at the Davidson Invitational, which concluded this afternoon. The sophomore ended Drexel's first tournament of the year with a 147, five shots behind the leader.
The Dragons concluded their first tournament of the year in 12th overall. The tournament featured 14 teams. Drexel shot a 639 in the two-day event, which got underway late today due to weather. Temperatures were below freezing when the tournament was scheduled to get underway this morning.
Freshman Yoseph Dance had a nice day for Coach Dynda's squad with a 77, four shots better than his first round. Vincent Anagnos shot an 88, while Scott Forrester had a 90. Crawford started the day tied for 13th overall, but his 71 tied for the third-lowest score of the day. He finished behind only Conner Hayden (Radford), Oliver Goss (Tennessee), Corey Connors (Kent State) and Taylor Pendrith (Kent State).
