Crawford Earns Medalist Honors for Second Straight Week

Philadelphia, Pa. - Chris Crawford fired a 71 on the second day of the Lafayette Invitational and won the individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 143. It was the second straight tournament win for Crawford, who won the Villanova Invitational last week. As a team the Dragons finished in fifth place in the 15-team tournament.
Crawford trailed a competior from Hofstra by just a stroke entering the final round, but then fired par on the final 18 to clinch his third victory of the academic year. He edged out Clayton Forren of Longwood by one stroke for the individual championship. Drexel's Ben Hinge finished tied for 28th at 12-over-par with a 154. The senior carded a 75 in the final round. Yoseph Dance had a 156, while Brian Fischer had a 158.
Longwood won the team title with a 595, three strokes better than Central Connecticut State. Hofstra finished third and Bucknell finished fourth, just one stroke ahead of Drexel.
