Squash Splits with No. 15/12 Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Drexel men's and women's squash team split with the No. 15/12 Williams College Ephs on Saturday afternoon. The men got a 6-3 win over the No. 15 Ephs. The win snaps a four match losing streak for the Dragons and moves their record to 5-8. The women fell 6-3 to the No. 12 Ephs and fall to 6-9 on the season.
Hayley Hughes won for the second straight day. Hughes got a 3-0 sweep over Nicole Friedman in three close games. It is the ninth win of the season for the freshman from New Zealand.
Kaitlyn Money got a five-game win over Nicole Feshbach. Money won the final three games. Laura Rahauser was on the winning side of a five-game match with Caroline Sawin. The junior won games four and five after dropping games two and three. The Dragons were swept in spots 6-9 nine for the second straight day.
The Dragon men got wins from spots one through four of their ladder and picked up wins from sports seven and nine to get the match win. Atticus Kelly got a four-game win at the top of the Drexel ladder. Luke Willemse, Ibrahim Bakir and Michael Thompson swept their opposition from spots two through four.
Nat Fry picked-up a 3-1 win over Michael Petrick from the number seven spot. Joey Gingold got a win for the Dragons at the bottom of the ladder by sweeping Nicholas Greaves-Tunnell; 11-9, 11-4, 11-6.
The Drexel men host No. 14 Navy tomorrow at the Kline and Specter Squash Center. The Drexel are back in action when Dickinson visits on February 6 for a men's and women's double header.
