Kara's two goals gives her at a total of 10 on the year, which ties the program record for goals scored in a single season.
The game remained scoreless as the teams headed to the locker room for halftime, but in the second half Elon was able to get on the board first as Grace Bennett scored in the 59th minute. Bennett came in from the left side and sent the ball into the upper right corner to give the Phoenix a 1-0 advantage.
