No. 9 Men’s Squash Sweeps Haverford, Now 3-0 on the Year

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 9 Drexel men's squash team (3-0) swept the Haverford Fords (4-3) on Friday evening from the Kline & Specter Squash Center in the Daskalakis Athletic Center at Drexel University by a final score of 9-0.
Drexel did not drop a single game across all nine matches against the Fords.
Freshman Bransten Ming played his first collegiate match from the No. 1 position and won 11-4, 11-1, 11-5. Ming is now 3-0 on the young season with the two other wins coming from the No. 2 spot.
Sophomore Atticus Kelly followed suit, playing in the No. 2 spot after playing No. 5 against Franklin & Marshall and Virginia in October, as he defeated Haverford's Peter Dudley, 11-6, 11-4, 11-6.
Senior Ibrahim Bakir and junior Michael Thompson each won in three games on Thursday from positions No. 3 and 4, respectively.
Sophomore Noel Solomon earned his first win of the 2015-16 campaign, winning all three games 11-4 for the sweep.
Junior Nat Fry defeated Zach Cole of the Fords, 11-6, 11-4, 11-6, from the No. 6 spot for the Dragons.
Senior Joey Gingold, freshman Royston Raymond and freshman Will Grady closed out the lower third of the ladder with victories as well. The 11-3, 11-1, 11-3 win for Raymond and the 11-5, 11-5, 11-5 victory for Grady both came in their first collegiate matches for Drexel.
The Drexel men will now turn their attention to No. 22 Bowdoin as the two squads will play on the campus of Franklin & Marshall on Sunday, Nov. 22. Action begins at 10:30 a.m.
