Dragons Finish Seventh at CAA's; Crawford Named All-Tournament

RESULTS
The Drexel golf team closed the 2014-15 season by finishing seventh in the Colonial Athletic Association Championships at St. James Plantation. The Dragons shot 903 over the three-day tournament.
Drexel's Chris Crawford led the team by shooting four-over-par. He had a 220 in the tournament including a one-over-par 73 on Sunday. Crawford tied for fifth overall and was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team. Freshman Avery Schneider also shot a 73 on Sunday and finished his first CAA Championships at 225. Schneider tied for 16th overall. Yoseph Dance and Adam Mistretta each fired a 74 on the final day as the Dragons shot 294 in the final round. The 294 was the team's best round in the event.
The College of Charleston successfully defended its title by capturing the 2015 Championship. The Cougars were led by individual medalist John Jonas who finished the 54-hole event at one-under on the par-72 course.The Cougars had a three-day score of 873, which was just nine over par. Charleston finished 20 strokes better than second-place William & Mary and James Madison. Those schools bot finished at 893. UNCW was in fourth place (895), Elon finished fifth (896) and Delaware placed sixth at 898. Drexel finished ahead of both Towson (911) and Hofstra (944).
Jonas finished with a three-day score of 215 (70-72-73). His teammate Zach Munroe shot five-under par 67 on the final day to move into a tie with fellow Cougar Josh Lorenzetti at 218. UNCW's Thomas Eldridge was fourth overall with a three-over 219 (71-72-76). Crawford (77-70-73) finished tied with William & Mary's Austin Morrison (72-76-72) and Delaware's Kyle Martin (73-73-74).
