2014-15: Was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team…had a two-under-par 69 in the first round of the Patriot Intercollegiate…averaged 75.6 strokes per round, the third-best total on the team…tied for ninth with a two-over par 74 at the City Six Championships…had a two-over-par 74 in the final round of the CAA Championships…a CAA Commissioner’s Award Winner for academics.
2013-14: Had a solid first season in University City...finished second on the team with a 77.3 stroke average...ended the season with a final-round 73 in the CAA Championships...it was his second best round of the season...fired a career-low even-par 71 at Old Dominion...played in every event during his first season with the team...was a CAA Commissioner's Academic winner.
Background: Graduated from the American School of Doha in Doha, Qatar...was the 2013 Qatar Junior Open champion and won the 2012 Qatar Amateur Open...was also a two-year captain on the basketball team...during the summer of 2013, played for the state of Virginia in the Capital Cup Tournament and the Mid-Atlantic Invitational...an AP Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society and the Varsity Club Council.
Personal: Son of Warren and Taddy Dance...majoring in biomedical engineering...his grandfather is a member of the Tennessee State University Hall of Fame, where he played basketball and football...his uncle ran cross country at VCU.
