No. 9 Men’s Squash Falls to No. 5 Dartmouth, 6-3

HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 9 Drexel men's squash team (7-4) fell to the No. 5 Dartmouth Big Green (6-2) on Saturday afternoon on the road.
Freshman Omar El Atmas improved to 9-1 individually with a 11-5, 11-6, 11-9 sweep of Dartmouth's Carson Spahr in the No. 2 position. This comes as El Atmas' first match outside of the No. 1 spot, where sophomore Atticus Kelly played today.
Freshman Bransten Ming also earned a victory in the No. 3 position for the Dragons. Ming improved to 9-2 with the 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9 win over Samuel Epley. He is 4-2 from the No. 3 spot.
Junior Michael Thompson defeated Nicholas Harrington of the Big Green in three games, 11-5, 11-9, 11-7, as he also earned his ninth win on the campaign. He is 9-2 on the year and 6-1 from the No. 5.
El Atmas, Ming and Thompson are all tied for the team-high with nine wins.
The Drexel men will be back in action next week with matches against No. 25 Dickinson (Friday, Jan. 22), No. 22 Amherst (Saturday, Jan. 23) and No. 20 Colby (Sunday, Jan. 24). The Dragons are home on Saturday and Sunday.
