No. 12 Women's Squash Upsets No. 9 Dartmouth, 5-4

HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 13 Drexel women's squash team (7-2) earned an upset victory on the road over the No. 9 Dartmouth Big Green (2-5) on Saturday afternoon in New Hampshire.
The top half of the Dragons' ladder earned victories which pushed Drexel past the Big Green for the win. Drexel won the top-five matches.
Sophomore Hayley Hughes produced a No. 1 position win for the Dragons over Dartmouth's Jacqueline Barnes, 12-10, 11-5, 11-2. Hughes is now 6-2 on the campaign.
Junior Elisa Money played from the No. 2 spot for the first time in 2015-16 as she earned a 3-11, 11-5, 11-3, 12-10 victory against Victoria Dewey. Money lost the first game, 3-1, before winning the next three for the four-game win. Prior to this match, Money was 0-3 when trailing after the first game and 0-1 when tied at one game apiece.
Sophomore Ryan Morgan grabbed a five-game win for the Dragons after trailing 1-2 from the No. 3 position. Morgan dropped Rebecca Brownell for the 9-11, 11-7, 7-11, 11-4, 11-2 win. It comes as her second win on the season after losing the first game, she did so in her first match of the year against Franklin & Marshall on Oct. 31, 2015. She is now 6-2 on the year and 1-0 from the No. 3 spot. It is also her second five-game win on the campaign.
Freshman Fiona Power won in the No. 4 spot for Drexel in a four-game victory over Lydie McKenzie. Power won the first two games, 11-8, 14-12, before dropping the third, 8-11. She then emerged in the fourth, 11-5. It is her second straight four-game victory.
Junior Mary Fung-A-Fat produced a sweep in the No. 5 position as she defeated Zainab Molani, 11-6, 11-1, 11-8. All five of her wins on the year have come as sweeps.
The Drexel women will be back in action next week with matches against No. 25 Dickinson (Friday, Jan. 22), No. 16 Amherst (Saturday, Jan. 23) and No. 23 Colby (Sunday, Jan. 24). The Dragons are home on Saturday and Sunday.
