No. 9 Men’s Squash Falters Against No. 1 Trinity

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 9 Drexel men's squash team (7-3) dropped its Tuesday matchup to open 2016 to the No. 1 Trinity Bantams (4-0) by a final of 9-0 at the Kline & Specter Squash Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
Junior Michael Thompson turned in a hard-fought loss in five games from the No. 4 position for Drexel as he fell to Trinity's Affeeq Ismail. Ismail took the first game, but Thompson grabbed the next two for the 2-1 Dragon lead. Ismail eventually won games four and five to take the match, 11-7, 7-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7.
The men will now gear up for an important matchup with No. 7 Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. on Saturday, Jan. 16 at noon.
