NEW YORK - The Drexel men's soccer team fell for a sixth-consecutive game on Tuesday night, dropping a 2-0 decision at Columbia. The game began a three-game road swing for the Dragons.
Playing their third of three games against Ivy League opponents this season, the Dragons were outshot 18-8 on the evening. Eden Ben Hemo had the only shot on goal for the Dragons, a header coming in the 53rd minute.
Columbia got on the board in the 34th minute when Rhys Williams took a feed from Dylan Mott and scored from the left side of the box.The Lions would add an insurance goal in the 78th minute on an unassisted goal by Francsico Agrest. Drexel goalkeeper Tyler Afflerbach came up with four saves as the Lions peppered the Drexel end with their 18 total shots and six on net, but that was not enough as the Dragons could not find the back of the net on the offensive end.
