No. 9 Women’s Squash Downs No. 24 Dickinson, 8-1, on Monday

CARLISLE, Pa. – The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team (9-5) earned an 8-1 victory over the No. 24 Dickinson Red Devils (9-7) on Monday night from Carlisle, Pa. The Dragons swept the top eight matches in the ladder and forfeited the No. 9 position match.
Sophomore Hayley Hughes, junior Mary Fung-A-Fat and sophomore Ryan Morgan swept the top third of the ladder for the Dragons. It came as the 10th individual win of the season for Hughes, all from the No. 1 position. Fung-A-Fat earned her first victory of the campaign from the No. 2 spot while Morgan also won her 10th of the year.
Freshman Fiona Power improved to a team-leading 11-3 on the season with her dominating 11-1, 11-1, 11-7 performance over Dickinson's Alanis Perez. Junior Elisa Money won her third-straight match for the Dragons as she downed Sarah Clothier from the No. 5 spot. Fellow junior Maria Diagama also earned a sweep from the No. 6 spot as she grabbed her second win from that position in four chances.
Freshman Apoorva Addepalli moved back to .500 on the year with a 11-2, 11-2, 11-4 win over Dickinson's Meaghan Dashcund from the No. 7 spot. Fellow freshman Kathryn Bottger played in her fourth match of the year after joining the team at the beginning of January, earning her third win, all sweeps.
Drexel will close out its regular-season schedule on Saturday, Feb. 13 against No. 7 Columbia at the Kline & Specter Squash Center for senior day. Action will begin at 11 a.m.
