
No. 6 Men’s Squash Takes Down No. 10 Cornell in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 6 Drexel men's squash team (7-4) defeated the No. 10 Cornell Big Red by a final of 7-2 in Ithaca, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon.
Omar El Atmas and Bransten Ming won in the top-two positions for Drexel in three-game sweeps on Saturday afternoon.
Michael Thompson won his 51st career match over Cornell's Jack Greenwood in a similar fashion from the No. 4 spot, 12-10, 11-6, 11-3.
Atticus Kelly played from the fifth position as he defeated Cornell's August Jones in a thrilling five-game victory for the junior. Kelly won by the final 9-11, 11-5, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8.
Luke Willemse also won his No. 6 match in a three-game sweep while Joshua Hughes and Mostafa Aboul Makarim turned in wins from the No. 8 and 9 positions.
The Dragons will take on No. 24 Hobart in Geneva, N.Y. on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. to close out the weekend trip in upstate New York.
