Golf Closes Out ODU/OBX Intercollegiate in Final Road Match of the Fall

Final Results
Powells Point, N.C. - The Drexel golf team completed its final road match of the fall on Tuesday at the ODU/OBX Collegiate at Kilmarlic Golf Club. The Dragons finished the final round with a 295.
Senior Adam Mistretta had the best round of the day for the Dragons on the par-71, 6,502-yard course. He shot a one-over 72 on the day, one stroke better than senior Aaron Fricke. Michael Cook and Alex Butler each carded a 75, while Connor Schmidt finished with a 77.
Fricke was once again the Dragons' top overall finisher. The Denver, Pa. native shot a seven-over-par 220 over 54 holes. Cook was just two strokes behind Fricke with a 222. Mistretta and Butler each finished at 224, while Schmidt shot 229.
Overall the Dragons finished 17th at the event. Campbell won for the third-straight year firing a tournament-record 821, 31 shots under par. Ball State, Old Dominion and North Dakota State each finished the tournament under par. Ray Kraivixien of Campbell was the medalist at nine-under par. He won by two shots over Chad Hess of Old Dominion and Eric Edwards of George Mason.
Drexel concludes play this fall on Nov. 4, when it hosts the City Six Championships at the Union League Golf Club at Torresdale.
