10/31/2017 9:19:00 PM | Men's Soccer
PRINCETON, N.J. – It was a familiar refrain for the Drexel men's soccer team, which concluded its season on Tuesday night with a 1-0 loss at Princeton. Once again, the Dragons got a strong defensive effort – particularly from goalkeeper Jacob Jordan – but saw a late goal do them in as the Tigers scored in the 82nd minute to win for a seventh consecutive time in the series.
The Dragons ended their season on a nine-game skid with the loss. They were outshot 19-5, with Jordan making six saves. Laolu Daranijo and Chris Carroll each put shots on goal, with Daranijo putting two on frame. Mathias Ebbesen and Patrick Murphy also registered shots for the Dragons. Bobby Hickson scored the game's lone goal on assists from Jeremy Colvin and Matthew Mangini.
Drexel concludes its regular season with a 2-14-1 mark. The Dragons' season ended with four consecutive 1-0 defeats. Jordan, who came into the day leading the NCAA in total saves by 13 over the goalie in second place, finishes his year with 110 total saves in 17 games.
