No. 9 Women's Squash Ends Skid Sunday with 6-3 Win over No. 14 Williams

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team got back on track Sunday morning with a 6-3 win over No. 14 Williams at the Kline & Specter Squash Center. The Dragons improved to 2-4 with the victory.
The Dragons snapped a four-match skid with the win despite being without Miriam Kamal, the freshman who typically plays out of the top spot. Hayley Hughes, playing in the second spot, outlasted Hayley Parsons, 11-6, 11-5, 8-11, 11-4, and Ryan Morgan downed Julia Ward in four games, 11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 11-8. Hannah Blatt continued her run with an 11-5, 11-8, 11-4 win over Esther Baek at No. 4, followed by Fiona Power's 11-7, 11-6, 5-11, 14-12 victory. The Dragons got wins from freshmen Ona Prokes, 11-4, 11-9, 13-11 over Sara Willwerth, and Emma MacGillivray, 11-8, 11-2, 7-11, 11-9 over Anna Nicholson, to close out the win.
The Dragons close out 2017 before heading into the New Year on Thursday evening when they host Princeton at the Kline & Specter Squash Center.
