No. 9 Women's Squash Falls Thursday Evening to No. 3 Princeton, 8-1

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team fell Thursday night to No. 3 Princeton at the Kline & Specter Squash Center, 8-1. The Dragons head into 2018 with a 2-5 record overall, while the Tigers remain perfect at 5-0.

Hannah Blatt played another outstanding match to improve her record on the year to 6-1. The freshman came away with a straight-game victory over Morgan Steelman at No. 4, 11-8, 11-5, 14-12. Ryan Morgan played well and traded sets with Samantha Chai at No. 3, but Chai found herself on the right end of a 11-5, 8-11, 11-4, 8-11, 11-3 win. Hayley Hughes took the first game off Raneem El Torky at No. 2 and battled in the next three, but El Torky came out on top, 4-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8. Fiona Power and Ona Prokes also forced four games. Power took the first game off Grace Doyle, but dropped the next three, 7-11, 11-3, 11-8, 11-5. Prokes battled Emme Leonard to a tiebreak in the first and won the second, but Leonard took the win, 12-10, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5.

The Dragons return to action in the New Year when they head to California to take on Stanford on Jan. 6.
