No. 16 Women’s Squash Grabs Friday-Night Victory at No. 12 GW, 6-3

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The No. 16 Drexel women's squash team (5-10) earned a quality win over the No. 12 George Washington Colonials (6-8) from GW's Lerner Health & Wellness Center on Friday evening by a final of 6-3.

Senior Kaitlyn Money trailed 0-2 in her No. 7 matchup before coming back for the five-game victory, 9-11, 11-13, 12-10, 11-7, 11-9, as the Dragons prevailed overall for a strong win after dropping their last two matches to Yale and Dartmouth.

Drexel got wins from sisters Hayley and Anna Hughes from the No. 2 and 3 spots. Hayley swept her opponent while Anna won in four games.

Senior Mary Fung-A-Fat and sophomore Fiona Power grabbed wins from the No. 4 and 5 positions while Money and senior Maria Diagama held down the bottom third on the ladder with wins from the No. 7 and 8.

The Dragons return home to close out their regular-season schedule from the Kline & Specter Squash Center in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday, Feb. 12 with Dickinson. Action is slated for noon.
