HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 12 Drexel men's squash team stumbled Saturday afternoon at No. 7 Dartmouth to snap a three-game winning streak, 8-1. The Dragons are now 5-7 on the season.
The Dragons battled at the top of the ladder but could not find their way on top of a few key matches. Lucas Rousselet won the first two games against Alvin Heumann at No. 1, but the Big Green's top player came back from the 7-11, 13-15, 11-6, 11-9, 11-8 win. Bransten Ming then worked a five-game win over Matthew Giegerich at No. 3, 9-11, 11-5, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7. However, at No. 4, Dylan Kachur could not complete the comeback against Toby Harding, 11-7, 11-9, 7-11, 4-11, 11-8. Mostafa Abouel Makarim tried to climb out of a two-oh hole at No. 9, but Brian Giegerich came out on top of that battle, 12-10, 11-7, 6-11, 11-5.
The Dragons return to action Sunday afternoon with a noon matchup at No. 3 Harvard.
