CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 12 Drexel men's squash team dropped a 9-0 sweep at No. 3 Harvard on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge. The Dragons fall to 5-8 on the year, while the Crimson are now 7-1 overall.
The Dragons, still battling an injury at the bottom of the lineup, just could not break through Sunday against a powerful Harvard squad that's poised to compete for a national title. Bransten Ming and Joshua Hughes were the lone Dragons to take a game in their matches. Ming tied the match at a game apiece against Sean Hughes at No. 3 but dropped a third-game tiebreak and then the match, 11-9, 9-11, 13-11, 11-8. Hughes, recently moved to the No. 6 spot, also tied his match at a game apiece against Madhav Dhingra, but could not get another one, 11-9, 5-11, 11-5, 11-7.
The Dragons return to action on Wednesday afternoon against No. 15 Cornell at 11 a.m. at the Kline & Specter Squash Center.
