Rowing Makes its Annual Trip to Boston for Head of the Charles this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel rowing team is ready for its annual trip to Boston, Mass. for the Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River.
Last Time Out
The Drexel rowing team earned top-five finishes in all six categories it was entered last Saturday at the annual Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill River. The Dragons' men's varsity eight and second varsity eight A highlighted the day with second-place times. The women's second varsity eight and freshmen eight each finished third, while the women's varsity eight and men's freshmen eight took fifth.
Head of the Charles
The Dragons are sending two boats to Boston – the women's second varsity eight and the men's varsity eight. The women's second varsity eight, racing in the Sandra Lee Sheller II boat, opens the Dragons' racing at the Head of the Charles Saturday at 2:33 p.m. The men's varsity eight, racing in the Lois Krall II boat, closes out the weekend at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday.
Looking Ahead
Following the weekend in Boston, the Dragons return to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Oct. 27 before heading up I-295 on Oct. 28 for the Princeton Chase.
