Kutch Posts 2020 Olympic Trial Cut at Day 3 of AT&T Winter National Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Alexa Kutch posted a 2020 Olympic Trial Cut time as the Drexel swimming team competed in the third day of the AT&T Winter National Championships on Friday in Greensboro, N.C.
Joe Short, Stathis Malamas, Ralph Cannarozzi III, Gabrielle Rudy, Joseph Brown and Alexa Kutch all represented the Dragons on Day 3 of the Championships. Short competed in the 100 fly and Malamas swam in the 100 breast while Cannarozzi, Rudy and Brown raced in the 100 breast. The highlight of the day, however, was Kutch's Olympic Trial Cut time of 1:02.36 in the 100-meter backstroke preliminaries that advanced her to A-finals where she finished in eighth, clocking in at 1:02.76.
Drexel will wrap up action with the final day of the Championships tomorrow with Kutch, Malamas and Cannarozzi competing in the 200 back, 100 free and 200 breast.
