2018 AT&T Winter National Championships Recap

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded their four-day competition at the AT&T Winter National Championships this weekend. The AT&T Winter National Championships round out the Dragons' competition for 2018. Drexel will resume its schedule after the New Year as it hosts CAA opponents Northeastern and Delaware on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Competition is set to begin at noon.
Representing the Dragons this weekend was Alexa Kutch (100 back, 200 back) and Gabrielle Rudy (100 breast) of women's swimming and Patrick Cobb (200 free, 400 free), Joe Short (100 fly), Joseph Brown (100 breast, 200 breast), Stathis Malamas (50 free, 100 free, 200 free) and Ralph Cannarozzi III (100 breast, 200 breast) of men's swimming. The highlight of the weekend, was Kutch's 2020 Olympic Trial Cut time of 1:02.36 in the 100-meter backstroke preliminaries. She later went on to finish eighth in A-finals with a time of 1:02.76.
