Church and McIntosh Lead Saskatchewan to NLL Title Game

Philadelphia - Former Drexel standouts Ben McIntosh and Robert Church will once again play in the National Lacrosse League's Champions Cup. The duo helped the Saskatchewan Rush advance to the title game with a 15-13 victory against Calgary Roughnecks.
McIntosh and Church both had big games as the Rush advanced to the title game for the third straight season. Both players had three goals and three assists in the game against the Roughnecks and another former Dragon, Ben's brother, Garrett McIntosh.
Church, who is now in his fifth year in the NLL, had another outstanding season, setting career highs in goals, assists and points. The 2013 graduate finished the regular season second in the league with 107 points, trailing only teammate Mark Matthews with 116 points. Church was tied for second in the league in goals (47) with Curtis Dickson. New England's Kevin Crowley led the league with 51 goals. Church now has 175 career tallies in the NLL to go along with 239 assists for 414 points.
McIntosh also had a fine season for the Rush. He finished the year one goal behind Church with 46. McIntosh and Lyle Thompson tied for fourth in the NLL in goals. The 2014 graduate also had 34 assists for 80 points. In four seasons, McIntosh has scored 151 goals and handed out 131 assists for 282 career points.
The Rush, who won the championship two seasons ago, will now face the Rochester Knighthawks in the best of three series. The two teams start play on May 26, 2018 at the Sasktel Centre in Saskatoon.
