PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team has signed Camren Wynter to a national letter of intent, head coach Zach Spiker announced Monday afternoon.
Wynter is a 6-foot-3 guard out of DME Sports Academy in Florida. In his prep year at DME, Wynter averaged 14.3 points on 52.3 percent shooting from the field to go with 6.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game. He also shot 42.7 percent from beyond the arc. Originally from South Hempstead, N.Y., Wynter attended Holy Trinity Diocesan High School where he was named All-League twice, CHSAA Player of the Year, All-Long Island First Team and All-State in New York.
"Cam brings both size and depth to our backcourt as a 6-3 guard," Spiker said. "He brings length physically on the defensive end and has a facilitating mindset offensively. He has been well-coached in high school, AAU and prep school. Cam is very appreciative of this opportunity and understands the responsibility on and off the court to represent the program. We look forward to his arrival this summer."
Wynter joins guard Coletrane Washington and wing Zach Walton in this year's incoming class.
