ROCHESTER, N.Y. - No. 11 Drexel men's squash fell to No. 5 Rochester on Saturday afternoon at Lyman Squash Center, 7-2. The Dragons' two wins came from Matias Knudsen and Dylan Kachur.
Knudsen continued his winning ways taking down Ricardo Lopez in straight sets while Kachur scored a four-game win against Matthew Toth, displaying great endurance and grit. Luke Willemse had an epic match against Lawrence Kuhn with displays of brilliant shot making, diving and movement. After winning the second game in extra points, 15-13, he gained momentum winning the third game with ease, 11-3. Unfortunately, he could not sustain this as he lost a close fourth game, 11-8. After leveling at five points each, Kuhn did not lose another point clinching the fifth game and the match. Nathaniel Chan also made his debut this season, although he went down in three games, 11-6,11-6,11-8.
The Dragons will regroup and return to action when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y. for matches against Cornell and OWO.
