Wrestling Faces No. 8 NC State on Saturday in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Drexel wrestling team travels to Raleigh, N.C. to take on the No. 8-ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack in a nonconference dual on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. The affair will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra via ESPN3. Action takes place at the James T. Valvano Arena at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum.
LAST TIME OUT
Drexel is coming off a close win over local rival Penn, 16-15, on Sunday as the Dragons claimed their fourth-straight Cheesesteak Trophy over the Quakers. Drexel received decision wins by No. 14 Ebed Jarrell (165), Bryan McLaughlin (174), Anthony Walters (184) and Chandler Olson (133) while No. 16 Joey Goodhart (285) won by a major decision. Nine of 10 matches were decided by decision, keeping the overall score close. The Dragons led 13-6 after six bouts thanks to Goodhart's major decision, which dramatically affected the outcome. Penn came back to win the last three of four bouts but Olson's 7-2 decision at 133 proved to be enough as the Dragons held on.
