Men's Tennis Edges Lehigh, 4-3

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Drexel men's tennis edged Lehigh on Sunday afternoon in a road match, 4-3. With the win, the Dragons are now 3-4 overall.
Sanil Jagtiani and Xandy Hammitt set the tone for the Dragons with the first win of the day at No. 2 doubles, 6-2. The Dragons, however, dropped the next two doubles matches to give Lehigh a 1-0 lead.
In singles action, Jagtiani tied things back up with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 3 spot. Lehigh then got the win in the No. 1 spot, but the Dragons responded with two wins in a row from Xandy Hammitt and Sinan Orhon to pull ahead 3-2. After the Mountain Hawks took the win in the No. 6 spot, the pressure was on for Gustav Wogen. The freshman, however, stepped up to win it for the Dragons in the No. 5 spot, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5.
Drexel will return to the courts when it hosts Villanova on Friday, Feb. 15 for an 11 a.m. match.
