BETHLEHEM, PA - Drexel women's tennis cruised to a 5-1 win against Lehigh on Sunday afternoon at the Lewis Tennis Center.
The Dragons picked up the doubles point with victories from pairs Cristina Corte Gonzalez/Ghita Benhadi and Katka Majorova/Marta Martinez in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, respectively.
In singles action, Lehigh's only point came from a win in the No. 4 spot. Ziouti and Benhadi played the most entertaining matches, stretching it out to three sets apiece. Ziouti dropped the first set in the No. 1 spot but dug deep to pull out the next two wins for the victory. Benhadi later took down her opponent in the No. 2 spot, 6-4, 6-5(7), 10-5.
Drexel will return to action when it hosts Villanova on Feb. 15 for a 12 p.m. match.
