Women's Tennis Defeats NJIT, 5-2

NEWARK, N.J. - Drexel women's tennis defeated NJIT, 5-2, in a road match earlier on Sunday afternoon.
Drexel took a 1-0 lead right away securing the doubles point with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots before winning four singles matches. Katka Majorova defeated her opponent in straight sets in the No. 3 spot. Anisiya Simpson, Marta Martinez and Cristina Corte Gonzalez all clawed back to defeat their opponents after dropping the first set.
Drexel will return to action on Feb. 22 when they take on George Washington at 12 p.m.
