Gonzalez Clinches Match in 4-3 Win Against George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cristina Corte Gonzalez clinched a 4-3 victory for Drexel women's tennis against George Washington on Friday afternoon in a road contest.
The Dragons swept doubles to secure the point before notching three singles wins for the final victory. Ghita Benhadi won the first singles for the Dragons in the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. Salma Ziouti then earned a win at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 (6) and Cristina Corte Gonzalez clinched the match with the final win in the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-4.
Drexel will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 23 when they take on Georgetown at 2 p.m.
