Women’s Rowing Closes Out Cooper Sprints on Sunday

FULL RESULTS
CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The Drexel women's rowing team concluded its weekend on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. with he 2019 Cooper Sprints on Sunday, March 24.
The Dragons advanced one boat to the grand finals and two to the petite finals in their five races.
Racing in the Bella Santorum, Drexel placed sixth in the 2nd Varsity 4+ Grand Final with a time of 8:34.16.
Both the V8 and 2V8 competed in the petite finals. In the Varsity 8+, the Dragons, in the Alleva XVII, placed fourth of six with a time of 6:49.38 behind Oklahoma (6:40.54), North Carolina (6:43.92) and Kansas (6:45.02). In the 2nd Varsity 8+, Drexel finished second in the Cara Fry boat at 6:57.33 behind North Carolina (6:54.12) while narrowly edging out Kansas (6:57.37) by four hundredths of a second.
