Men's Tennis Falls to JMU in Penultimate Regular Season Match, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's tennis team fell to James Madison on Saturday at the Vidas Courts, 5-2. The Dragons got a pair of singles victories and took two other matches to three sets, but that was all they could manage as they fell to the Dukes.

Alvaro Cruz Chamorro won in straight sets at No. 4, 6-2, 6-1 over Damon Roberts of James Madison. His was the second match of the day to finish, leaving Drexel down 2-1 after having also dropped the doubles point. Two matches later, Gustav Wogen made it a 3-2 Drexel deficit with his 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6.

Despite a first-set victory at No. 1 from Sinan Orhon and a second-set rally at No. 3 from Sanil Jagtiani, the Dragons could not finish off another victory on the day as they dropped the final two matches to seal the loss.

Drexel will conclude its regular season on Sunday when the Dragons host Delaware at 3 p.m. for a Senior Day match at the Vidas Courts.
