No. 8 Men’s Squash Falls to Top-Ranked Harvard in Potter Cup Opener

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The eighth-ranked Drexel men's squash team suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of No. 1 Harvard in first round action at the Potter Cup on Friday.
Filip Krueger took the opening game from Victor Crouin in the top position. Krueger could not follow up on his 12-10 triumph and dropped the next three by 12-10, 11-6 and 11-3 margins.
Matthew Lucente pushed Saadeldin Abouaish to four games in the No. 3 match. After back-to-back 11-7 losses, Lucente kept the match alive with a 15-13 win in the third game but lost, 13-11, in the fourth.
The Dragons (10-7) drop to the consolation bracket, where they will play either No. 4 Princeton or No. 5 Rochester tomorrow at noon.
