No. 8 Women’s Squash Dominant in Sweep of No. 18 F&M at MASC Championships

WASHINGTON, D.C. – No. 8 Drexel Women's Squash authored a second-consecutive sweep in round robin play of the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships, dispatching No. 18 Franklin & Marshall. The Dragons (10-6) did not drop a game in winning their fourth-straight match dating back to the end of the regular season.

Alina Bushma won her top-flight match against Audrey Berling, 11-8, 11-7, 11-7. Hannah Blatt continued a convincing run at the MASC Championships with an 11-2, 11-1, 11-1 victory over Emily Knapp in the No. 2 match.

Anna Hughes added an 11-7, 11-7, 11-4 win over Emily Bartos in the third-seeded flight. Ciara Richards topped Katherine Galambos (11-4, 11-1, 11-7) in the No. 4 flight.

Ona Prokes scored an 11-1, 11-2, 11-2 result against Samira Sankaran in the No. 5 match. Brook Herring contributed an 11-4, 11-8, 11-5 sweep of Zoe Quayle in the No. 6 flight.

Stephanie Ryan moved past Grace Smith in the No. 7 match – 11-2, 11-1, 11-1. Emma MacGillivray won 11-0, 11-1, 11-2 over Adina Rubenstein in the eight-seeded flight, and Hatti Specter rounded out the ladder with three identical 11-1 victories over Paisley Dianastasis.

Drexel concludes play at the MASC Championships tomorrow at 10 a.m. against 10^th-ranked Virginia in what should be the de facto title match.
