Ben McIntosh Traded to Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - Former Drexel standout Ben McIntosh, a six-year veteran of the National Lacrosse League, will return to Philadelphia after the Wings acquired him in a blockbuster trade over the weekend. The Wings traded forward Josh Currier along with the seventh overall pick in the 2020 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft from the Philadelphia Wings in exchange for McIntosh and three draft picks. The Rush also receive Philadelphia's first-round pick in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft.
McIntosh was the first overall pick in the 2014 entry draft. He was named to the NLL All-Rookie team in 2015 and won a gold medal with Canada at the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. McIntosh scored more than 30 goals in each of his first five seasons and had 40 or more goals on two occasions.
McIntosh led Drexel to the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association title and its first NCAA Tournament appearance. The 2014 CAA Player of the Year, McIntosh and the Dragons upset fourth-seeded Penn to advance to the NCAA Lacrosse Quarterfinals. He set a Drexel record in 2014 with 48 goals and also had 17 assists. McIntosh was a two-time All-American and is tied for ninth on Drexel's career list with 100 goals.
McIntosh also plays for Waterdogs LC of the Premier Lacrosse League. He was the ninth overall pick in the expansion draft by the Archers in 2019.
