Dragons Sink Three Goals In Conference Loss to Delaware

A Delaware team that averages 2.35 goals per game caught fire early and often, sinking four goals from four different players before the half. The Blue Hens added a pair of goals to start the second half, opening the gap to 6-0.
Isabel Jacobs put a stop to Delaware's momentum with an unassisted goal in the 40th minute. The Blue Hens answered back several minutes later with their seventh goal of the day. The Dragons found their groove in the fourth quarter, adding two goals of their own. A swift pass from Eline Di Leva to Avery Powell gave Drexel its second goal to move the team back within five. Di Leva followed up with an unassisted goal of her own a minute later to cut the deficit to four. Despite a late game pick up in momentum, the Dragons were unable to pass the Blue Hens.
Drexel will host its final game of the year on Sunday afternoon against Bucknell University. The Dragons are set to host senior day against the Bison at 3 p.m. on Buckley Field.
