Men's Squash Drops Match to No. 1 Penn

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's squash team traveled across University City to face the Penn Quakers in a Saturday matchup. The top-ranked Quakers defeated the No. 5 Dragons, 9-0.
The Dragons had a few matches that entered the fourth game, but Penn pulled away from the Dragons. Filip Krueger pushed his match against Dana Santry to the fourth game at number seven before eventually falling, 11-4, 11-6, 9-11, 11-6. Jose Lopez won the second game in the eighth spot but lost to Nathan Tze Bing Kueh in the third and fourth, 13-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-6.
Matias Knudsen lost a hard-fought five-game battle to Aly Abou El Einen, winning the third and fourth games. In the final game, Penn pulled ahead and clinched the point, 11-6, 11-8, 10-12, 8-11, 11-7.
The Dragons wrap up their opening weekend by hosting No. 26 Dickinson at the Kline and Specter Squash Center on Sunday, Nov. 14. Match time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
