Men's Squash Starts Weekend Win Win Against No. 14 Williams

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 5 Drexel University men's squash team opened its weekend of competition with an 8-1 win against the No. 14 Williams Ephs at the Kline and Specter Squash Center.
Getting the day started for the Dragons, Matias Knudsen picked up an 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 win in the number two spot. That was followed by an 11-5, 11-6, 11-7 victory for Noel Heaton at number five. At number four, Dylan Kachur battled to an 11-5, 15-13, 11-5 win. Gautam Nagpal fended off a major challenge at number seven with a thrilling 11-6, 11-5, 8-11, 10-12, 11-5 win.
In the second rotation, securing the overall win for the Dragons was Lucas Rousselet in the number one spot with an 11-2, 11-6, 11-3 victory. In the ninth spot, Michael Berry took an 11-9, 11-6, 12-10 win. At number four, Fritiof Jacobsson battled back after dropping the first game to win 7-11, 11-5, 11-2, 11-2. Closing the match, Shaan Dalal also battled back from a first game deficit to claim a 9-11, 11-6, 11-3, 11-9 result at number eight.
Next up, the Dragons battle No. 16 Amherst on Sunday, November 21 at the Kline and Specter Squash Center. Match time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
