PHILADELPHIA – The No. 7 Drexel University women's squash team continued its weekend schedule with a 9-0 win against No. 13 Amherst on Sunday morning.
Getting the day started for the Dragons, Noa Romero won in the fourth spot 11-5, 11-5, 11-2. At number seven, Lydia Robinson picked up a 11-6, 11-4, 11-5 victory. Alina Bushma claimed a 11-8, 11-4 11-5 victory at number two and Brooke Herring topped her opponent 11-5, 11-5, 11-9 at number five.
In the second rotation, Ciara Richards tipped the overall contest the way of Drexel with an 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 win at number six. Next to finish was Kat Cummings who took a 11-9, 11-6, 11-0 win at number eight. In the ninth spot, Hatti Specter won 11-6, 11-7, 11-6. Margot Prow won 11-5, 11-1, 11-8 in the third spot and Karina Tyma picked up her fifth victory of the season in the number one position, claiming an 11-9, 11-5, 11-8 win.
The Dragons play later this afternoon, taking on No. 10 Stanford at 3:00 p.m. at the Kline and Specter Squash Center.
