NASSAU, Bahamas - Drexel will close out a memorable trip to the Bahamas on Wednesday afternoon. The Dragons face Jacksonville State in the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship. Drexel split its first two games, defeating Charlotte and falling to Tulane. The game can be seen live at 2:30 p.m. on FloHoops or you can listen to Drexel's call on Drexeldragons.com. The 2021-22 Drexel men's basketball season is presented by IBEW 98.
THE SERIES
This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons are 3-2 after a convincing 67-55 win against Charlotte. Drexel played a very good second half to pull away from the 49'ers. Camren Wynter had an outstanding second half, scoring 18 of his 20 points in the final 20 minutes. Wynter ended the day 9-for-14 from the floor and had five assists without committing a turnover. James Butler had his third straight double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds tied a career high. Drexel's defense held Charlotte to just one 3-pointer in 11 attempts during the second half. The Dragons are now 3-2 on the young season.
WHAT'S NEXT
Drexel will fly out of Nassau on Thanksgiving morning and will enjoy an off-weekend before returning to the court. Next week, the Dragons play FDU in a make-up game on Thursday and then play at Princeton on Saturday. The Tigers have two Power 5 wins, one against South Carolina and the other against Oregon State.
