Dragons Drop Heartbreaker at No. 6 Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The No. 7 Drexel University women's squash team battled to the final match of the day before dropping a tough 5-4 decision to the No. 6 Columbia Lions on Friday afternoon.
Down 0-1, Noa Romero got Drexel on the board with a 15-13, 11-2, 11-8 win at number four. Lydia Robinson followed with a five-game battle in the ninth spot, eventually pulling out an 11-7, 6-11, 7-11, 11-6, 11-6 victory to push the Dragons up 2-1 overall.
The Lions battled back, getting a win at number two. Drexel followed with victories in the sixth slot where Brooke Herring won 11-4, 11-7, 11-8. Dina Rosli followed with an 11-7, 11-3, 11-8 win against Renee Chan at number eight. Columbia had the final say, winning at numbers five, one, and seven to claim the overall match.
The Dragons return to action in the new year when they travel to No. 2 Trinity on Saturday, January 8. Match time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
